Preschool Section Overview

The Preschool Section at SCIL Valencia is designed to foster holistic development in a warm, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Our focus is not only on early literacy and numeracy but also on nurturing social, emotional, spiritual, and physical growth through a well-rounded curriculum and a positive campus climate. Special focus is laid on the Tarbiyah of these young little Muslims.

Literacy is a foundational focus at our school. Classrooms and the school library are filled with a wide variety of age-appropriate books. Concept-based soft board displays are regularly updated to reflect the current themes, reinforcing vocabulary, and promoting a print-rich setting.

Student Work Display

To celebrate students’ creativity and achievements, their written and artistic work is proudly displayed in both classrooms and corridors. This not only enhances self-esteem but also fosters a sense of ownership and pride in their learning.

1. Media Room

Our media room is equipped with Interactive Smart board to integrate ICT anddigital literacy into learning.

2. Library

We maintain a mobile library with a rich collection of age-appropriate learning and teaching resources, ensuring easy access for all students and staff.

3. Reading Areas

Each classroom features a cozy and inviting reading area. These spaces are designed to promote quiet reading time and encourage the development of early reading habits.

4. Kindergarten Play Area / Jungle Gym

We provide a secure, child-friendly play zone filled with age-appropriate outdoor equipment, ensuring physical activity and fun in a safe environment.

5. Montessori Area

Our dedicated Montessori centre supports experiential learning through five specialized centers: Sensorial, EPL (Everyday Practical Life), Art, Language, and Mathematics. STEM concepts are also introduced to kindergarteners as part of their foundational learning.

Morning Assemblies

Morning assemblies are a cherished daily tradition. These gatherings begin with the recitation of Allah’s names, followed by Qur’anic verses, hadiths, and student-led thematic presentations. Assemblies serve as a platform to build students' confidence and public speaking skills. Head teachers and coordinators also deliver short motivational talks to set a positive tone for the day.
