ACADEMICS at SCIL

Core Values and Approaches to Learning

Now, more than ever, the world is at a crossroads in all aspects. In such context, SCIL believes in imparting a wholesome education to develop the leaders and reformers of tomorrow through imparting values and knowledge that will equip these leaders to affect change. This is done through both contemporary education and building character through embedding values in Islam.

Academic Content

The Islamic perspective at SCIL is derived from the Quran and Sunnah, providing a guideline for a lifelong commitment to our faith. Under the Hikmah Cell, translation, tafseer (explanation) and Arabic grammar in context of the Quran are taught at various grade levels so that students understand the significance and relevance of Islam in their daily lives. To this end, SCIL has designed its own Quran and seerah text and workbooks which have been finalized through immense scrutiny and authenticity checks.

For contemporary education, we incorporate the best possible components from across the globe, with world class resources that foster critical thinking and analytical skills from a very young age. SCIL aims to build a learning community and we are committed to ensure that our students are engaged in active learning to enhance their creativity and problem-solving skills.

We have a continuous curriculum enrichment plan keeping in view the national and international educational requirements, and the ever-evolving research on teaching and learning methodology and technology. In alignment with international standards and Cambridge Assessment International Examination (CAIE) expectations, the teaching methodology encourages a student-centered approach, allowing children to play an active role in their own development. During O and A levels, various subject choices are offered that provide students with the flexibility to choose while also providing a guided framework.
