SCIL Matriculation Girls Senior Branch

SCIL has been successfully running Matriculation program since 2017, Alhamdulillah. It is a twoyear program where each subject is taught across both the Grades i.e IX and X. The students appear in their examination in two parts i.e SSC- I (Secondary School Certificate Part I) at the end of Grade IX and SSC-II (Secondary School Certificate Part II) at the end of Grade X. The examination body is BISE; Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Lahore.

GROOMING OF STUDENTS

TAKMEEL E QURAN

  • On joining Matriculation stream, students continue with Quran in the form of one of the compulsory subjects, Tarjuma Tul Quran, in which they study various Quranic Surahs over two years.
  • The remaining part of Quran is then taught through online/onsite sessions for completion of Quran, Alhamdulillah, once Tarjuma Tul Quran syllabus ends.

Note: Takmeel e Quran Certificate is, however subject to 100% attendance in Quran
completion classes.

Seerah

  • A Seerah lesson has recently been introduced to the regular class timetable on each level, for a holistic Islamic upbringing of our students, Alhamdulilah.
  • The resource being used for the purpose is the book, The Radiant Lamp compiled by Dr Fariha Mela, the Head of SCIL Hikmah Cell.

TARBIYAH SESSIONS

  • Tarbiyah is an essential component of its morning assemblies and daily school life.

Deputy Director Ms Maham Mela is an educationist with a PHD in Education Policy. Besides having worked as a World Bank consultant, she is also an Academic Counselor at SCIL.

General Policies

Revision Policy

Crash course is run after the Pre-lims to revise complete syllabi as well as ensure complete understanding and rigorous application of the concept taught in the class.

Prep Leave Policy

It is optional for students to go on a prep leave. The faculty is available on campus throughout this time period for any assistance the students may require.

Attendance Policy

Students should have minimum 80% attendance in each academic year in order to appear in the Board exam as a registered candidate of SCIL and to be eligible to receive the Quran completion certificate.

Retest Policy

If a student absents themselves in any monthly or end of unit test, they have to retake that test.
